SKID Tester

A football player needs to accelerate from a standing start and be able to stop quickly as well.This characteristic requires an interaction between the sole of the soccer shoe and the surface.The method used to assess this characteristic is based on a SKID Tester.This tester is adapted by Deltec to the FIFA requirements for linear friction testing on artificial turf.The Deltec SKID Tester measures the Stud Sliding Value(SSV)by means of a pointer on a special scale.Besides that,the special written GSlide software processes the g-signal from a mounted accelerometer and calculates the Stud Sliding Value(SDV).
